From the Tao Te Ching

Empty your mind of all thoughts.

Let your heart be at peace.

Watch the turmoil of beings, but contemplate their return.

Each separate being in the universe returns to the common source.

Returning to the source is serenity.

If you don’t realize the source, you stumble in confusion and sorrow.

When you realize where you come from, you naturally become tolerant,

disinterested, amused,

kindhearted as a grandmother,

dignified as a king.

Immersed in the wonder of the Tao you can deal with whatever life brings you,

and when death comes you are ready.

The Tao Te Ching, by Stephen Mitchell

Possibility?

If we use human characteristics to describe, and therefore define God, there will be a tendency to then think that God acts in that manner. This, to me is the furthest from the truth. A God that acts within the realm of human characteristics would not be God.

Worldly…

“Worldly doesn’t mean that you have money or stature. Worldly means that you think the solution to your inner problems is in the world outside. You think that if you change things outside, you’ll be okay. But nobody has ever truly become okay by changing things outside. There’s always the next problem. The only real solution is to take the seat of witness consciousness and completely change your frame of reference.”

Great Read So Far!

Just got this wonderful book a few days ago! I’m just a couple of chapters in, but so far it has been nothing short of awesome! It has many of the concepts you’ll find in The Power of Now (Eckhart Tolle) but at a level that will be a bit more understandable too many. I would highly recommend it to those looking for that ability to quiet the mind, clearing the way for that inward journey to Peace. Enjoy!
